Songs for Strangers

The goal of this project was to create a safe space for strangers and friends to express their experiences and emotions and help guide this with questions and the option of doodling, one-on-one, and then write them a song.
I prompted each person with three questions: 1. What are some things, places, people, events etc that make you sad? 2. What are some things, places, people, events etc that make you happy? 3. Related to the first questions or not, what is something that is hard for you to express in words? Or what is something that you think you could gain clarity about if it were written in a song for you?
I spent from 40 minutes to 4 hours interacting one-on-one with each stranger or friend (5 people total), and then spent 2-3 writing and recording each song. I then took one or all of a person's experiences and wrote them into a song that expresses this for each (anonymous) person, and published it. Sharing each song with the person it was written for was incredibly rewarding.
